Profile

Founded in the early 1980s as SiamDutch Mosquito Netting, Tana Netting has over 27 years of experience producing and distributing high quality mosquito nets and other products for public health, travel and personal protection as well as home and garden applications. Our products are trusted by UN agencies, ministries of health, NGOs, businesses, militaries and travelers around the world.

We have a long history of innovation through public-private partnerships. In the 1980s we were one of the pioneers in producing insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) to combat malaria. In 2004, our company again answered the call of the public sector, forming a partnership with Bayer Environmental Science and NetMark (a project of USAID) to develop our long-lasting insecticide treated net (LLIN) under the DawaPlus® barnd. This pursuit of innovation continues today, as we work with our partners to pursue even stronger, longer lasting and pioneering products for the future.

Tana Netting’s state-of-the-art production facility opened in Thailand in 2005, offering a safe and comfortable working environment to around 150 employees. The facility has an annual production capacity of over 3 million units, with an eye toward expansion, both locally and through technology transfer on the African continent.

Today, Tana Netting is a strong and flexible player in the industry. Our dedication to quality, commitment to partnership as well as our pledge to operate in a socially responsible manner sets us apart from the competition.

Our Founder

SiamDutch Mosquito Netting was founded in 1981 by Nicolaas Pierson who during his travels in Asia was struck by the simple beauty and utility offered by mosquito nets. His goal was to promoting economic development in Thailand by exporting a product that was high in demand for public health in developing countries as well as decorative and travel applications in Europe and North America. SiamDutch and later Tana Netting became industry leaders, supplying nets to leading travel suppliers and home décor retailers as well as governments, UN agencies and militaries around the world.

27 years later, Mr. Pierson’s dream lives on. As a flexible and socially-conscious company, Tana Netting retains its commitment to promoting economic development and improving the lives of people through innovative and effective products.
