TANA Netting Production process

Production process

Our factory in Pakistan, H. Sheikh Noor-ud-Din & Sons (HSNDS), uses the latest production technologies to manufacture long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) that are 100% compliant with the highest standards of international health organizations and NGOs. All our DawaPlus® 2.0 products are manufactured in a sustainable and socially responsible manner.

Below is the LLIN production process that we follow:

Fabric reception

The fabric is received and stored in a safe place before the treatment process starts.

Fabric inspection

The fabric goes through an extensive inspection process. The products are being rigorously tested in the every stage of the production process in the quality control laboratory.

Fabric treatment

The fabric is then treated with deltamethrin, in accordance with the World Health Organization specifications for pesticides. We perform the following quality control tests in the laboratory: GSM according to ISO 3801; deltamelthrin content analysis according to CIPAC 333/LN; and wash retention index according to CIPAC 4827(M) – MT195.

Cutting fabric

After treatment, the fabric is cut into panels of the required dimensions.

Sewing and stitching of nets

The cut panels are ready for stitching. The nets are then stitched by the skilled operators.

Packing

Finally, the nets are packed into plastic bags. The packed nets will be compressed into bales to ensure efficient shipping. The nets are now ready for shipment.
